De present perfect gebruik je wanneer iets in het verleden is gebeurt en het resultaat is nu nog steeds zichtbaar.
Bijvoorbeeld: I have painted the walls green.

Ook wanneer iets in het verleden is begonnen en nu nog steeds bezig is.
bijvoorbeeld: I have lived here for three years.

regelmatige werkwoorden => hele werkwoord +ed

to be -> was/were -> been -> zijn
