Other forms

  • (not) as ..(adjective)... as  :     They are as thick as thieves
  • the..(comp. adj.)..., the ..(comp. adj.)...:  The more, the merrier
  • adverb modifiers for comparatives:  a bit more /  much / a lot more / much more (adjective)
  •  adverb modifiers for superlatives:   by far 
  • superlative + to + verb clause  (He's the best person to do this)
  • superlative + perfect tense clause (The most wonderful dinner I've ever had)
