Strategy: Reading a text step by step

There are three steps to reading a text:

1 Find the subject of the text by reading the title, looking at the pictures and finding out the type of text (orientation).

2 Read the introduction and the subheadings (reading globally).

3 Read the entire text while answering the questions (detailed understanding).
