What is an Essay?
An essay is a piece of academic writing that presents a clear argument or viewpoint on a specific topic.

An essay typically consists of three main parts: introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion.

Introduction
The introduction should grab the reader's attention, provide background information, and present a clear thesis statement.

Body Paragraphs
Body paragraphs develop and support the thesis statement with evidence, examples, and analysis.

Each body paragraph should start with a topic sentence that introduces the main idea of the paragraph.
