Quantifiers

• A quantifier is a word that usually goes before a noun to express the quantitiy of the object, such as Much milk, many cows and a lot of birds.

Much vs Many

• Much is used for uncountable nouns, such as  milk, time or water. 
• Many is used for countable nouns, such as birds, glasses of water or books.

What is the correct sentence?

1. I had many glasses of milk yesterday.
2. I have had much glasses of milk yesterday.
3. I have had many glasses of milk yesterday.
4. I had much glasses of milk yesterday.

A little vs a few

• Just like much and many, a little is used for uncountable nouns, and a few for countable nouns.
