Did you know?
The Four Corners Monument in the Southwestern United States marks the point where the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah meet. The only place in America where you can be in four states at once! The monument also marks the boundary between the Navajo Nation and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Reservation, where the native American people still live.

The Navajo Tribe
The Navajo are the people who are native of the Four Corners region. The Navajo live in a very large reservation on their traditional territory: Navajo Nation. This is land that belongs to them and is under their control. The Navajo Nation has its own government, laws, police, and services, just like a small country. However, they are also US citizens and must obey American law. The Navajo people still honor a lot of their old traditions.
