Hermits lived alone or together with other Hermits to focus on God

Willibrord

• = English christian
• Became a missionary= someone who spreads christianity.
• He converted most of the Netherlands.

Willibrord has a statue in Utrecht because he brought christianity to Utrecht and to the rest of the Netherlands

Missionaries

• Built churches and began a network of churches that worked together to spread christianity.
• The network was led by the pope and locally the archbisshop.
