Slide 1 - Diapositive

Over the past few months we've seen several TEDTalks in class.
  • Remember the TEDTalk on procrastination and education?
  • Remember the TEDTalk you favoured and presented to the class?

Slide 2 - Diapositive

a common presentation?

December
Coming December you'll be giving your own TEDTalk!

Go to your studyplanner and
find the document with your TEDTalk assignment!

Monday:
  • Familiarize yourself with the TEDTalk assignment
  • Start working on your logbook by making a list of at least 5 topics/issues that you think need attention. Explain each problem in three sentences and write down why you think it needs to be addressed. Keep in mind: it needs to suit the Global Perspectives criteria (so it must be related to the Global Perspective topics on page 3 of this document).
  • Downsize the list you’ve made above to 3 issues. Explain why you think these 3 to be the most relevant. Read about these issues and write down what you want people to know about these issues.

Tuesday
  • Search the Internet and find out on which topic you find the most useful information (keep in mind that you need to make use of reputable sources only). Take notes. So include websites.
  • Decide which topic you choose for your TEDtalk and again motivate your choice in your logbook.
  • Ready? You can spend the rest of the hour on test preparation for a subject of your choice.
