What is a Food Chain?
  • A food chain is the sequence in which living organisms feed on the one below it. 
  • All living things rely on the food chain one way or another to live.

How are Plants Apart of the Food Chain?
  • Most foods energy comes from the sun. Plants actually use light to produce energy. This is called photosynthesis.
  • When an animal eats the plant they get their energy from the nutrients the plant has created through this process.
