Your speech should be 3 minutes (max 30 seconds more)

You will give your speech to PLT during test week

You will be asked questions about your speech (so be aware of different perspectives!)

2 Do not use information from Social Media

3 If a text is full of random capital letters/punctuation marks - it's not reliable

Looking up the points you want to expand (brainstorm)

Use the 'finding information' page in you workbook

Bookmark sites you got information from and write the names of the author and year it was written in your workbook.

Examples:

Fact: going to work is more dangerous than going to war (3x)

          The hamburger model 

• The first sentence of your body paragraph should be the idea that you want to dicuss within that same paragraph --> the topic sentence. 
  
• Use it as a guide in writing the next sentences. 
  
• Stick to the point. Make sure that you write only what needs to be written. 
  
• Don't clutter your sentences skip any irrelevant information. 
• The supporting sentences provide examples and/or evidence and provide specific information. 
• The conclusion sentence restates what you claim in the topic sentence.
