Five conditions t consent
  1. Free: There are no negative consequences at the moment that the other does not want to participate in sexual activities. In no way can someone be forced or pressured into doing things they do not want to.
  2. Reversible: Someone is free to say ‘no’ at any point.
  3. Informed: Everyone who participates in sexual activities knows what they are doing and is aware and sound of mind to make an informed decision about themselves. Lying to get someone in bed is not consent.
  4. Enthusiasm: People engaging in sexual activities show they are enthusiastic about what is happening. So, no response, doubt or freezing up are signs of no consent.
  5. Specific: Specific questions can be asked to make sure that the other is giving consent. For example: May I kiss you?
