The NSDAP was a  authoritarian and nationalistic party that did not believe in democracy. 

Hitler wanted a strong Germany. His main political points were:
1. Getting rid of the Treaty of Versailles 
2. Getting rid of the Republic
3. No more unemployment

The NSDAP became very popular, not only among workers, but also young people. Why?

1. Hitlers speeches were very impressive

Hitler becomes  Chancellor of Germany in 1933

Hitler blames all his political opponents. 
The NSDAP intimidate the other political parties so that they agree with the enabling act (Machtigingswet.) 

This law gives all the power to Hitler and the NSDAP without having to discuss with the parliament.
