Fast of Lent: van As woensdag (14 feb) tot Pasen vasten de Christenen door op vrijdagen geen vlees te eten en ook andere 'lekkernijen' niet te eten.

Colonization: kolonisatie, dat is wanneer een land een ander land binnenvalt en de macht overneemt. Vaak waren het landen in Europa die andere landen koloniseerde om grondstoffen te gebruiken of de mensen te beheersen.

Speaking Exercise: 

Work with the person next to you. 

- Omschrijf in het Engels hoe je carnaval viert in Nederland. Wat je dan zoal doet, hoe mensen verkleed gaan etc. 

- Omschrijf in het Engels wat jouw plannen zijn voor komende carnaval.

Oefen samen goed, maak eventueel notities. Over een aantal minuten zal ik een aantal mensen vragen om klassikaal toe te lichten.
