Basics

Materials: 

You will pick a book to read from  a list

I'll provide additional materials in class

We speak English in class

News presentations

• Talk 1-2 minutes about something you read/saw in the news in English (proper news and English sources)
  
• The class and teacher give feedback
  
• A few students per lesson: first presentations are next week
• Sources: The Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, CNN, BBC, etc.
• No reading from a piece of paper

• 12-15 minutes

• Prepare: 

Read a specific book (list is in the planner and next slide)

2. The Circle - Dave Eggers

3. Lord of the Flies - William Golding

4. On the Beach - Nevil Shute

5. Never Let me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro
