Slide 21 - Diapositive

An example of PEE
Question: Why was the Giver unable to look at Jonas in Chapter 15?
POINT: He was unable to look at Jonas because he felt bad about all the pain he was giving Jonas.
EVIDENCE: 'The Giver looked away, as if he could not bear to see what he had done to Jonas' (p120)
EXPLAIN: This suggests that even though it was the Giver's job to give his memories to Jonas, it was still very difficult for him, knowing how it would hurt Jonas.
