Adjectives

Adjectives

                         taste, smell, look, sound, feel:

Adverbs

- zegt iets over een woord dat niet een zelfstandig naamwoord is (werkwoord, bijwoord, bijv. nw)

-er zijn verschillende soorten adverbs, bijv.:

   1. geeft antwoord op de vraag 'hoe'

               He plays badly.

   2. geeft antwoord op de vraag 'hoe vaak'

                He usually plays on Thursday.

Adverb - hoe

1. Zegt iets over een verb (werkwoord)

He plays piano beautifully. 

The referee watches carefully. 

2. Zegt iets over een adjective (bijvoeglijk naamwoord)

This is an incredibly difficult exercise.

That was surprisingly easy.

3. Zegt iets over een andere adverb (bijwoord)

She sings really beautifully.

He plays the saxophone incredibly smoothly.

1. Zet LY achter de adjective

beautiful - beautifully

2. Adjectives die eindigen op Y veranderen in ILY

easy - easily

3. Adjectives die eindigen op LE veranderen in LY

terrible - terribly

4. Adjectives die eindigen op IC krijgen ALLY

fantastic - fantastically

5. Uitzonderingen uit je hoofd leren:

fast - fast       long - long       hard - hard      good - well
