Korte vragen (tags)

komen aan het einde van een zin. 

Je gebruikt de tags om iemands mening te vragen of 

om een bevestiging te vragen.

Bijvoorbeeld:

She is very nice, isn't she?

Zij is erg aardig, toch?

Hoe maak je een korte vraag (tag)?

1. Herhaal de vorm van be (am / are / is)                                                 Jane is late for school, is
2. Is de zin positief (+), dan wordt de tag negatief (-) en andersom.                                                                                                         Jane is late for school, isn't
3. Herhaal het onderwerp.                                                                               Jane is late for school, isn't she?

Let op!

Er is één uitzondering.

I AM always happy, AREN'T I?

AMN'T BESTAAT NIET!

Je weet nu hoe je tags met BE moet maken.

Maar wat als er GEEN am/are/is in de zin staat?

Wat moet je dan doen?

Je gebruikt:

do / does in de tag,

als er don't / doesn't + ww in het eerste deel van de zin staat.

My mum doesn't enjoy the winter, does  she?

I don't often go out after dark, do I?

Je gebruikt:

don't / doesn't in de tag,

als er GEEN vorm van BE in het eerste deel van de zin staat.

We hate maths, don't we?

Jess eats a pie, doesn't she?

Let op!!!!!

Als er een Past Simple in de zin staat.....bijvoorbeeld:

Peter really liked his present.

Dan gebruik je did/didn't in de Tag Question in plaats van do of does!

Peter really liked his present, didn't he?
