If = als

1st: (hoogst) waarschijnlijk dat het zal gebeuren (TT)

Vb: Als ik zou spijbelen, dan zal ik een maatregel krijgen

If I skip school, I will be expelled

I won't cry, if I graduate from school

DUS

If + present participle + will / won't + hele werkwoord

2nd conditional

If = als

2nd: onwaarschijnlijk dat het zal gebeuren (VT)

Vb: 

If  I was the King of the Netherlands, everyone would get a free car

I would be happy, if PSG won the CL leaugue 

DUS

2nd: If + past participle + would not/ wouldn't + hele werkwoord

IF it rains tomorrow, we won't have a picnic.
