The Present Simple

Present Simple => Tegenwoordige tijd

Bij normale zinnen gebruiken we de regel:

Hele werkwoord (+s)

Hele werkwoord = Het gegeven werkwoord tussen haakjes.

bijv.  She ..... (to like) to dance.  

(in deze zin is 'like' het hele werkwoord wat gebruikt moet worden. Het woordje 'to' hoef je nooit te gebruiken).

The Present Simple

Normale zinnen:

Hele werkwoord (+s)

de +s krijg je alleen bij  She/He/It

Bijv.       (to dance)                               

                I/you    dance                          

                she/he/it    dances           

                we/they     dance                 

Uitzonderingen:

(to be) => zijn

I    am

she/he/it    is

you/we/they    are

(to have) => hebben

I/you    have

she/he/it    has

we/they    have

Ontkennede en vragende zinnen:

Do/Does (+ not) + hele werkwoord

Normale: I like tomatoes.

ontkennende: I do not like tomatoes.

vragende: Do I like tomatoes?

Do of Does?

I/you  -  do

she/he/it  -  does

we/they  -  do

The Present Simple

Uitzondering:

(to be) => Zijn

I am at work. -- I am not at work.  -- Am i at work?

He is at work. -- He is not at work. -- Is he at work?

We are at work. -- We are not at work. -- Are we at work?
