He had taken the keys (before he closed the door.)

NOTE!

If the active sentence has a direct object (lijd vw) and an indirect object (meew vw) there are two possible passive sentences: 

I wrote her a letter. 

1) A letter was written to her by me   (note: you need to add to)

2) She was written a letter by me.

Best option

Person as new subject

We lent Bob some money.

1. Bob was lent some money.
2. Some money was lent to Bob.

The teacher gave the students the books.

Michael has not sent me the file.
