You are going to write one paragraph analyzing text 4.33 in which you answer the question: 
"In what ways does the speaker, Jack Layton, use language that is indicative of the text type, in order to achieve his purpose?"
To do this you will need to know which features are used in speechwriting.

Pick one of the terms and write one paragraph exploring this thesis statement: "His use of language, especially his use of anaphora, tricolon and pronouns, is typical of speech writing and helps him achieve his purpose of getting people to vote for his New Democrats party"

Anaphora - the repetition of word or phrase at the beginning of a sentence.
Tricolon - a list of three, or a sentene with three parts or clauses
Pronouns - Use of pronounds to include and exlude people, as well as using direct address.
