a text?

Summarising a text
- What is the main subject of the text?
- What is the goal of the text?
- What is the conclusion of the text?
- Underline or write down key words and sentences
- Connect important information between paragraphs
- Sum it all up

- Write down the subject of the meeting, date, and the people present
- Write down who says what
- Use abbreviations (afkortingen)
- Sum it all up in a clear report afterwards

Direct speech:

Indirect speech
 - Telling what someone else said in your own words
He said that I could sit here.

Indirect speech = past tense
