Past simple with used to

Do we remember the past simple? 

When did you use it?

How do you make it?

Did you notice?

What did you notice about the use of 'used to' in the video?

'she used to go away on long trips'

'he didn't use to wear nice clothes'

'what did you use to go to London for?'

What do these sentences tell you? 

Conclusion

You use 'used to' to when we talk about habits or states we were in the past, but which are not true anymore. 

When it's a question or negative sentence you say 'use to' instead of 'used to'.
