Past Simple = verleden tijd
1) –ed achter het werkwoord als het regelmatig is.
Bijvoorbeeld: walk > walked
Als het werkwoord al eindigt op een -e, ,dan zet je alleen een -d erachter.
Bijvoorbeeld: phone > phoned
Als het werkwoord eindigt op een -y, verander je dit in -ied.
Bijvoorbeeld: worry > worried
2) Is het werkwoord onregelmatig? Dan kijk je in rijtje 2 van de onregelmatige werkwoorden.
Bijvoorbeeld: see > saw
