Future = toekomende tijd

Er zijn verschillende manieren om aan te geven dat je iets in de toekomende tijd gaat doen.

Will:

• “zullen”

• Spontane (snelle) acties (Bijv. Hold on, I will do it!)

• Als het niet zeker is (Bijv. “I think Ajax will win.”)

• Weersvoorspellingen (Bijv. Tomorrow it will rain in the south.)

Am/are/is going to

• “gaan doen” / van plan zijn

• je ziet het bewijs (Bijv. “Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain!”)

am/are/is + werkwoord + ing (present continuous)

• dingen die geregeld zijn

• Bijv: “Next weekend I am giving my birthday party.”
