At the end of this lesson, the students will know how to write a prediction with the help of sentences: I predict that, I think that, I foretell that, I guess that, and will (+infinitive) or to be going to (+infinitive)

What is a prediction, and where do you use it for?

Says something about the future

How to use it

You use will (+infinitive) or to be going to (+infinitive) for your prediction. Together with words like: I predict that, I guess that etc.

Example

I predict that he is going to fall down the stairs if he keeps running like that.

What happens next?

What: After each clip make a prediction of what you think is going to happen.

How: Individually via LessonUp

Help: Use sentences like: I predict that, I think that, I foretell that, I guess that... with will (+infinitive) or to be going to (+infinitive)

Time: 1 minute for each prediction

Result: Written sentences that predict the future

Predict your future

What: A written note, minimum of 10 sentences, on what you think is going to happen in either 1 year, 5 years or 10 years.

How: Individually using the future tense --> Will + verb or going to + verb

Result: A written text about your prediction of the future.
