Slide 32 - Diapositive

Adjective and adverb.
1. Adjective = bijv.nw, zegt iets van een zelfstandig naamwoord

2. Adverb = bijwoord, zegt iets van een werkwoord, bijv.nw, een ander bijwoord of een hele zin
1. She is a beautiful girl
2. She plays the piano beautifully ( vraag is: hoe speelt ze piano? antw : heel mooi) Zegt dus iets over het werkw. play)

Slide 33 - Diapositive

Adverb 2
She sings truly beautifully
Truly zegt iets van beautifully, dat is een bijwoord, dus truly is ook een bijw.!
That's a terribly fast car.
Fast zegt iets van car = bijvnw, terribly zegt iets van fast = bijw!
Typically, he was late again. ( hier zegt typically iets van de hele zin.)

Slide 34 - Diapositive

Uitzonderingen:
Sommige adverbs kun je niet vormen dmv -ly:
Let op bij :
Good-well
fast-fast
Hard- hard
Early-early
Fine-fine

Slide 35 - Diapositive

Hoe vorm je een bijw?

Met behulp van -ly!
Let op: soms verandert er iets in de spelling!
bijv:
true > truly
easy > easily
Kijk op blz 136 naar de onregelm bijw. Die hebben dezelfde vorm voor bijw en bijv.nw!
