Speaking: Show & Tell

What?

Talk about a subject and ask questions in English.

How?

- Choose one of the four topics 

- Show us something related tot this

- Talk about this topic for 2-3 minutes

- Ask each other questions about the topic

- The teacher will observe you and ask questions when needed.

Topics

You are going to tell us about one of the topics be. Make sure to choose a topic you are interested in, because this makes it easier to talk about for +/- 3 minutes. You may use notes with key words. Do not read your text out loud.

What is your favourite thing to do?

This could be your favourite sport or a game you really like to play. If ,for instance, playing with your dog is your favourite thing to do please tell us all about your dog, and why it is so special.

It would be nice if you could show us a picture or drawing of your topic. You can also bring an item related to the topic!

Keep in mind that you have to talk about your topic for at least 3 minutes.

Imagine winning 1 million dollars… What would you do with all this money? Move to another country? Buy your dream car with chauffeur? Tell us about all the things you would do. You could bring pictures of the objects you would buy or of the countries you would visit; show us! You can also bring an item related to the topic!

What would your dream holiday be like?

What is the place you would LOVE to go to? Describe your dream holiday. Maybe you would like to go to Bali and do yoga, swim in the ocean and relax in the sun? You have it all planned out and you could tell us about this plan. It would be nice if you could bring pictures of the things you would do, the country you would visit and show us all the wonders. You can also bring an item related to the topic!

Shining on stage, in a movie or on YouTube. Artists are everywhere and we can just enjoy their creativity through our screens! Who is your all-time favourite artist? Could you tell us about him/her? Maybe Post Malone is your idol and there are things that we did not know about him yet. Tell us all that you know. It would be nice if you bring pictures/books/music and show us.
