Can of could?

Example:"I can swim very fast."

Example:"When I was younger, I could run for hours." (Toen ik jonger was, kon ik uren rennen.)

Slide 4 - Diapositive

Be able to & Be allowed to
Be Able To: Gebruik je om vermogen uit te drukken in situaties waar 'can' of 'could' niet past, vooral in verschillende tijden.(Dus niet in de present en past simple!)

Example:"She will be able to complete the project by tomorrow." (Zij zal het project morgen kunnen afronden.)

Be Allowed To: Gebruik je wanneer er expliciete toestemming vereist is of wordt gegeven.

Example:"You are allowed to use the library's computers."

Slide 5 - Diapositive

May en Might
May: Gebruik je voor het uitdrukken van mogelijkheid of toestemming, met een formelere toon dan 'can'.

Example: "You may leave early if you finish all your work."

Example: "It might rain later today." (Het zou later vandaag kunnen regenen.)
