The Origins of Friendship Bracelets
Friendship bracelets have a rich history, dating back to ancient Central and South American civilisations, where indigenous tribes used them as a way to ward off evil spirits.
The bracelets were often made from woven grasses and animal fibres and were believed to possess magical powers.

It wasn't until the 1970's that they became truly popular in the modern world, used mostly by hippies.
