I tell my neighbor about the meaning of the word '6. altitude':
At a guess, I'd say that 'altitude' means 'temperature'. (wrong!)
She reacts by:
Off the top of my head, I think 'altitude' means 'height'. (correct!)
Now you all try the words 7, 8 and 9. You may give a translation too.

PM:
PM means:  Past midday, 
so after twelve o'clock in the morning (which is called 'noon').
3 pm means 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
The letter 'P' from 'past' makes this easy to remember!

AM means:  before midday.
Examples:
1.   7 AM means 7 o'clock in the morning.
2.  1 AM means 1 o'clock at night.
3.  1 PM means 1 o'clock in the afternoon!
