We are going to practice 3 reading strategies:

• Skimming
• Scanning
• Intensive reading
  

Skimming

• Look for the part of the text or paragraph(s) that you need
• Read this part completely, from beginning to end
  

Reading strategy game

• Make groups of 4 or 5 people
  
• You will be asked 8 questions about the text
  
• After each question, discuss your strategy (1 minute)
  
• For each question, someone from your group will walk to the front to read the text and find the answer (10 seconds)
  
• Write the answer on the piece of paper
• For each correct question you will get a point
