Aim of Today's Lesson
Today, we are going to look at the final Act in the play. Romeo and Juliet is a Tragedy Play and Act 5 really shows why this is so.

By the end of the lesson you will understand more about what takes place in Act 5. This is useful when working on Assignments 4 (News report of Juliet's death) and Assignment 14 ( An alternative ending to the play)

Assignment 14: Report on Juliet's death
Value: 5 points
Juliet's death was a shocking event for those around her. Newspapers might have written a report on her death. What kind of information do you think this newspaper article might have included? Would it go into detail as to why she took her own life, or do you think it would rather focus on the effect her death had on her friends, family and enemies?
- Think of a gripping title
- Describe what has happened
- Fill in any further information that you wish to focus on
- Use pictures to help get your message across
- Make sure the product looks like it could be published in a newspaper
- Use at least 150 words
A report on the shocking events of the lovers' deaths can be found on the next slide
