Modals with negations

You will see a picture -> make a correct sentence about the picture using a modal. (hulpwerkwoord)

Example: You are not allowed to drive a motorcycle in this street / You must turn right.

After this short quiz you will practise this by yourself using grammar 6 of chapter 2.

What are modals?

1. Koppelwerkwoorden: to be, to grow, to turn, to appear, to feel
2. Werkwoorden: to see, to listen, to know, to write, to go.
3. Hulpwerkwoorden: must can, could, may, might, shall, have to, should, will, would

Wat zijn modals?

1. Woorden die als model staan voor de rest van de zin.
2. Modaalwoorden die de zin netter maken.

4. Hulpwerkwoorden die bij een ander werkwoord horen en de zin extra betekenis geven.
