Present Continuous vs Present simple

Messi is playing football.
(right now)

Messi plays football.
(but NOT at the moment)

Present simple: acties die in het heden plaatsvinden, zoals permanente situaties, gewoontes en feiten

Present continuous: situaties/acties die nu bezig zijn (maar niet permanent)
