Adjectives (= bijvoeglijk naamwoord)
Een adjective zegt iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord.
Het woord staat ook vaak vóór het zelfstandig naamwoord waar het bij hoort.

Adverbs (= bijwoorden)
Een adverb zegt iets over een werkwoord. De adverb staat dan vaak na het hoofdwerkwoord in de zin:
The band playsbeautifully.
She always speakshonestly.
