Understanding the Present Simple
The present simple is used to describe general truths, habits, routines, and regular actions. It is formed with the base form of the verb.

Forming the Present Simple
For most verbs, we simply add 's' or 'es' to the base form in the third person singular (he, she, it). Negative and question forms use 'do' or 'does'.
