Future 

Future tense

We use future tenses to say something about the future

- Future with will

- Future with going to

- Future with  Present simple

- Future with the present continuous

 Future met will.

                                                    

Je gebruikt will + hele werkwoord bij:

beslissingen (spontaan besluit): Don't worry, I will do the groceries.

iets aanbieden:                                     I will help you to do the dishes.

belofte:                                                     I will call you, I promise.

aankondiging:                                       They will get married in November.

voorspelling zonder 'bewijs' :         I think it will rain next week.

Je kunt will ook afgekort gebruiken: 'll

I will        - I'll

you will  - you'll   etc

Ontkennend: will not of won't

I will not / won't help you.

Je gebruikt to be going to in de toekomende tijd :

* Om aan te geven dat iemand iets van plan is

We are going to visit my grandparents .

* Bij een voorspelling met 'bewijs'

Maken van een beslissing: 

Moment van intentie uitspreken is ( spontaan besluit) :            Will + hele werkwoord

Beslissing is al gemaakt/geregeld :                                                      to be going to

Voorbeelden: 

I will ask if they are home this weekend so I can visit mom and dad. (spontaan besluit)

We are going to visit her parents this weekend . (al geregeld)

I will see if they are any tickets left. (spontaan besluit)

We are going to see Feyenoord  against Lazio Roma. ( al geregeld)

Doen van een voorspelling 

Gokje :            will + hele werkwoord (geen 'bewijs')

bewijs :           to be going to + hele werkwoord.

I don't know if he can skateboard, I think he will hurt himself.

Look! His skateboard cracked, he is going to hurt himself.

am, is, are (to be) + werkwoord + ing

J e gebruikt de present continuous in de toekomende tijd om te praten over afspraken in de nabije toekomst waarvan de tijd en/of plaats al vaststaat.

I am meeting my brother at five o'clock.

We are seeing a new film tomorrow.

are going to

        We are going to visit my grandparents. (plan)

present continuous

         We are visiting my grandparents tomorrow.(tijd staat vast)

present simple in de toekomende tijd

Hoe maak je de present simple ?

Hele werkwoord: walk, make, write etc.

       Bij he, she, it komt er een s achter: walks, makes, writes etc

Je gebruikt de present simple in de toekomende tijd als het gaat om tijden volgens een vast rooster.

* aankomst-en vertrektijden

* openings-en sluitingstijden

* begin-en eindtijden.

The bus arrives at 10 o'clock.

The concert starts in five minutes.

present simple / present continuous

1. The meeting starts / is starting at 10 0'clock.

2. I visit / am visiting my grandmother this afternoon.

3. She cooks / is cooking a delicious cake for her birthday.

4. The plane leaves / is leaving at 11:15
