How to study during these difficult times?

Trip to the zoo

Yesterday my family went to the zoo to see the elephant. 

When we got to the zoo, we went to the shop to buy some food to give to the animals. 

After getting the food we went to the nocturnal house where we saw birds and reptiles which only come out at night. 

Before lunch we went for a ride on the elephant. It was a thrill to ride it. Dad nearly fell off when he let go of the rope. 

During lunch we fed some birds in the park. In the afternoon we saw the animals being fed. 

When we returned home we were tired but happy because we had so much fun.

tell students to write down the main idea of each sentence in 1 or 2 words.

• While watching, take notes of what happens in the video.

• Compare your notes with a fellow classmate.  Discuss the differences you have and justify your choices. try and combine your notes.

• In pairs, use your notes to prepare to recount what happened in the video as if you were the one who pushed the button and wants to tell the story to your classmates. 

• When finished post your notes on Padlet.

Just let learners know that these are the grammar rule used in talking in past tense. and they can look them up in the book.

Tell learners to sit infront of the class if they want you to explain it to them. if they feel there is no need you can put them to work with the upcoming book assignments.

If enough time. you can do this activity try and make it a bit more challenging by making them do it in speaking instead of writing. if the class is not that advance keep doing it in writing.
