aim of the next two lessons: By the end of this lesson series you  will be able to write and correct an formal e-mail. 

Aim - lesson 1

You are able to write a formal personal e-mail wherein you are sending their application in order to go abroad and do volunteering work.

a few examples e-mails 

Look at the e-mails and answer the following questions:

- is it formal or informal?

- is the lay-out correct?

- is the language in the e-mail correct?

-is the e-mail missing something else? 

e-mails 

The conventions of a formal e-mail. 

- Greetings

- Introduction - (you explain why you are writing this e-mail)

- body (introducing yourself, you elaborate on your topic)

- finishing sentence (write down what you expect/ hope)

- closing (end your e-mail with Yours Sincerely or Yours Faithfully.
