Quantifiers?

Quantifiers

We gebruiken quantifiers om aan te geven hoe veel iets is/hoe vaak iets gebeurd. 

A few gebruik je wanneer het een laag getal is of wanneer het een laag aantal items zijn. (A) few gebruik je alleen bij telbare woorden. (bv: brood) 

 (A) little gebruik je wanneer er een nog minder zijn of bijna niks. (A) little gebruik je bij ontelbare woorden. (bv: slaap) 

Quantifiers 

(A) lot of / lots of gebruik je wanneer er veel van een item is. Je gebruikt deze bij zowel telbare als niet telbare woorden. 

Much & many zijn ook quantifiers. 

Much gebruik je bij ontelbare woorden. 

Many bij telbare woorden.

de 'future?

Future tense

de Future Tense = de toekomende tijd. Dit betekend dat het in de toekomst gaat gebeuren. 

Je hebt hier 4 manieren voor: 

- Will 

- To be going to

- Present Continuous

- Present Simple 

Will 

Je gebruikt will bij beloftes, aankondigen en besluiten. 

I will do my laundry tomorrow, I promise.

I think we will win the lottery. 

To be going to

Je gebruikt am/are/is + going to + hele ww als je wilt aangeven dat iemand iets in de toekomst van plan is. Maar de plannen zijn nog niet concreet gemaakt. In Nederlands gebruik je vaak het woord: gaan 

I am going to call you later. 

It is going to rain today. 

Present Continuous

(alleen voor havo)

Je gebruikt de PC om te praten over afspraken in de nabije toekomst. (vliegreis, afspraak met iemand o.i.d.) Dit staat dus al gepland!

We are flying to Australia tomorrow. 

I am playing a hockey match on Wednesday. 

am/are/is + hele ww + ing

Present Simple

Je gebruikt de PS om te praten over vasstaande toekomst, rooster of schema. 

The plane to London leaves in an hour. 

School starts at 08.25.
