The story
In 1981, Morton Rhue published the book "The Wave" (De Golf). The story is about a history teacher named Ross who conducts an experiment on his class following a slideshow about World War II. In disbelief, his students claim that such situations are unthinkable nowadays. Ross promptly decides to establish a movement: 'The Wave'.

Verhaal
In 1981 bracht Morton Rhue het boek uit The Wave (De Golf). 
Het verhaal gaat over een leraar geschiedenis Ross die een experiment uitvoert op zijn klas naar aanleiding van een diavoorstelling over de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Vol ongeloof beweren zijn leerlingen namelijk dat dergelijke toestanden nu ondenkbaar zijn. Prompt beslist Ross om een beweging op te richten : 'The Wave'
