Skimming 101

3 steps:

1: Title

2: Pictures

3: subtitles/extra text/introduction

Main subject (onderwerp) of the text

1. Economy
2. The European bank
3. Inflation
4. EU workers

Now you know what the text is going to be about, what next?

1: During a test -> Read the questions first. 

2: Most paragraphs have a title -> which one could hold the key to your question?

3: When reading the paragraph -> only read the big words -> saves A LOT of time! 

4: Do you still not get it? -> read the paragraph in full
