A saying or expression that is often used to express truth or to give advice.


Do you know any proverbs in Dutch? And in English?
Discuss with a neighbour for 1 minute.

How does it work?
  • Played in teams of 4. Only 1 laptop per team
  • Log into LessonUp with your team number (e.g. Team 3)
  • For every proverb, discuss in English what it could mean for about a minute
  • Write down the meaning in English and submit your answer
  • The teacher is the judge
  • The team with most points wins!
  • No cheating! Don't look it up on Google, that's no fun!
