1. Startklaar

Bij de start van iedere les verwelkomt de docent de leerlingen bij de ingang van de deur, noemt leerlingen bij naam, maakt oogcontact en besteedt aandacht aan hun welbevinden. De docent geeft het goede voorbeeld en spreekt hoge verwachtingen uit voor het verloop van de les door succescriteria op gewenst gedrag, schooltaal en effectief leren te benoemen. De leerlingen zijn startklaar: ingelogd in LessonUp, telefoons opgeborgen in het Zakkie, en JdW-map op tafel.

1. Ik ben stil wanneer de docent spreekt of iets uitlegt.
2. Ik toon respect naar mijn klasgenoten en docent, en zij ook naar mij.
3. Ik luister naar de docent en volgt de instructie van de docent.
4. Op mijn laptop ben ik alleen bezig met opdrachten voor de les.
5. Ik ben actief bezig met de les en als ik een vraag heb steek ik mijn vinger op.

Afspraken niet nakomen: 2x waarschuwing --> 3e is eruit en terugkomen na de les voor gesprek.

3. Leerdoelgericht werken

De docent geeft het onderwerp, RTTI geformuleerde leerdoelen en de lesopbouw aan. De docent weet de leerdoelen goed te laten aansluiten bij de voorkennis en het (taal)niveau van de leerlingen. Gedurende de les wordt continu een terugkoppeling naar de leerdoelen gemaakt om de mate van beheersing te controleren.

Phrasal verbs

Future tense: will + hele werkwoord

• Gebruik: Als je iets wil beloven of voorspellen voor de toekomst (maar het is niet zeker) 

• Vorm: will + hele werkwoord

• Gebruik: Aangeven wat je van plan bent of iets dat waarschijnlijk zal gebeuren.

6. Actieve verwerking

De docent maakt expliciet hoe de leerstof actief verwerkt dient te worden. De docent start met modelleren en laat leerlingen vervolgens actief inoefenen. Volgens het 'ik-wij-jullie/jij-wij' principe wordt de ondersteuning geleidelijk afgebouwd. Er wordt gevarieerd in oefentypes en het leerproces wordt zichtbaar gemaakt, bijvoorbeeld met hardop denken opdrachten. Effectieve leerstrategieën zoals zelftesten, gespreid leren, schema’s maken, en samenvatten volgens de Cornell-methode worden expliciet aangeleerd. Dit herkneden van de lesstof helpt bij het bewerken van het lange termijn geheugen
