Modifiers: quite,very, really

Deze woorden gebruik je in combinatie met bijvoeglijke naamwoorden.

Bijvoorbeeld:

He is very smart

Those houses are quite small

I am really mad

Modifiers: quite

Kan je in het Nederlands vertalen als: “redelijk, best, aardig of behoorlijk”.

Bijvoorbeeld:

That dog is quite big           Die hond is best groot

His face was quite red               Zijn gezicht was behoorlijk rood

Modifiers: very & really

Kan je beiden in het Nederlands vertalen als: “erg”.

Bijvoorbeeld:

That dog is very big         Die hond is erg groot
