Adverbs (bijwoorden) kunnen: 
Vóór het hoofdwerkwoord staan.
Voorbeeld: You never give the coach any compliments.
Voorbeeld: Tim still thinks you're a great player.

Ná een vorm van to be (am/are/is).
Voorbeeld: I'm always on time for dinner.
Voorbeeld: We're quite happy with the outcome.
