Watts Towers - exercise 7
The Watts Towers consist of seventeen cement sculptures which are decorated with tiles and all sorts of everyday objects. The man who created the Towers is Simon Rodia. Did you know he used a nearby railway line as his anvil to bend the materials he worked with?
The Towers are still very important to the neighbourhood. Some people in the neighbourhood even give tours to visitors. I think it's a unique and wonderful piece of architecture. I'm sure you'll like it too. Have a great time in LA!
