The world's problems

Ask students to name as many different issues that they think the world is facing.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, the 193 members of the United Nations unanimously agreed on 17 interlinked global goals to be achieved by 2030 as "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". 

Ranking the 17 SDGs

Look again at the goals.  Think about which 5 you think are the most important for the world.  Rank them "1" to "5" (with "1" being most important and "5" least, and write your list (use the text of the SDG and not the number on the slide) in the slide that follows.

Now, look again at the goals.  Think about which 5 you think are the least important for the world.  Rank them "1" to "5" (with "1" being least important and "5" most, and write your list (use the text of the SDG and not the number on the slide) in the slide that follows.
