In a nutshell... 

• Submit a PowerPoint Presentation of 10 slides (maximum) that reflect one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. 
• Student and his or her mentor be prepared to present it (if required) to our panel of specialists during the YCO 2023. Present for approx. 8 mins.
• The presentation could be the work of an individual student or that of a small group of 2 or 3 students. 
  
• The Power Point Presentation should be submitted by midnight on the 22nd. of January 2023.

Instructions

• The power point presentation should discuss one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO); 
• And the role that the Global Hospitality and Tourism Industry has in supporting and developing such goals.

Examples

• The alleviation of poverty and the potential role of global tourism.
• Maintaining a healthy nutritional diet and reducing food hunger.
  
• Developing awareness of culinary medicine and the benefits this can bring to developing communities.
• How to improve education provision in disadvantaged communities and how that helps global tourism.
• Creating new hospitality opportunities to drive economic growth
  
• Creative ways to reduce food waste and energy consumption.
